Last night was the infamous 83rd Academy Awards/Oscars. Boy I meant to say (F**K) thanks to Melissa Leo, who showcased a surprising acceptance speech after winning Best Supporting Actress for The Fighter. She seemed like she was going to melt on stage but didn’t with a speech like that. That moment was the best throughout the whole night and in Oscar history. The sexy James Franco looked rather bored, and God bless Ms. Anne Hathaway for trying. She tried so much to please the crowd but it all seemed to fall flat and she was a little over the top.
But I must say her voice is amazing and I thought the Hugh Jackman bit was cute and her dresses were amazing as well. But I’m glad Natalie Portman and Christian Bale won for their awards. As you might know the entire show is known for going over and being really long. Sad to say this but I fell asleep right after the Toy Story win so I wasn’t able to see everything. But I love the fact that you will see all of the amazing looks that presented themselves on the red carpet.
The gowns were too safe and the trends seemed one sided. Compared to the other award shows this one needed to be spectacular in the fashion department but seemed to safe. But I had some favorites like Amy Adams in L’Wren Scott, Mila Kunis in Elie Saab, and Mandy Moore in Monique L. these ladies knew how to shock the red carpet.
